Broke and need Value for Money? Dont worry, Just Walk down to Kairali!

When it comes to Value for Time and Money. Nobody spells it better than Kairali. One of the Favourite Malayali Restaurants in Btown, Kairali has it all. - Great taste, Quick Service and even better Prices! Located  Behind Christ University, Christites Frequent the joint for a taste of an Authentic Kerela Cuisine. Their most Popular dishes are the Suave Beef Fry, Prawn Masala, and Squid Fry, which takes you to the Backwaters of Kerala alongside Appam and stew. Karimeen Fry is a must for Fish lovers and the sea food exceeds expectations. They also serve traditional meals on banana leaves and a few decent noodle and rice dishes as well. But if you are going to Kairali, make sure that you order their Beef Fry and if the seafood is Fresh, i would recommend Prawns and Squid as well. Coming from Gods Own Country, trust me, its Swell!

Totally Spiced Out!

"Ice and Spice"

This Timeless Classic has been around for a Few Decades now and seems to have only gotten better with age. It  was the favorite destination for college students thirty years ago, and after being bought over by Truffles, you could say it has become something of a Legend. One of my Favorite Haunts, My friends and I never did mind making the long journey from Koramangala to the Tiny Original Outlet on Saint Marks Road for some Unbelievably juicy Lamb burgers that just seem to melt to Paradise in your mouth, along with  Mouth Watering Desserts to Die for. Great Food at reasonable prices and quick service made it extremely popular among people of all generations. Their formula for success - Their special custom made mayonaise which adds a flamboyant flavor to their starters and burgers along with an authentic choclaty treat for your sweet tooth. A "Must Try" when you go there - The Tons of Fun burger - a juicy lamb or chicken patty topped with salami and a perfectly poached egg and zealously juiced with lots and lots of Mayo :) It was a wish come true when they opened their Koramangala Outlet and i must say that at one point of time, I was at Ice and Spice for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner! This one is a great place to take family and friends, new in town to treat them to a true taste of Bangalore! Their Pastas are not out of the world but are Homely and the Aglio-Oglio and Spaghetti Carbonara are worth a shot. The Other Delicacies on the Menu Include  - The Mixed Grill, the Tandoori chicken burger, a lovely choclatey drink called Choca Mocha (though it does not contain any Mocha) and its array of Cheesecakes - Oreo!, The Bulls eye, and the Missisipi Mudpie! All said and done, a Fantastic Food Experience and a Great place to Chill, Ice and Spice truly does Suffice :)

BURGERS GONE WILD!!! - Part One

"Moos My Daddy!!!"
Ni-thulped!
Those are Precisely the Only Words My Friends have had to say when I took them down to Cafe Thulp for a Taste of their Trademark Moo Burgers! Available in Insanely Large Sizes, The moo takes the form of the Medium sized "Moo with Bacon and Cheese", The Notoriously Humongous "Moos your Daddy" Burger and the Latest addition to this Madness......The Monstrously Insane "Mother of all Moos" a double Whammy to the Daddy!!!
Discovered by myself and a group of my Burger Loving Brothers ( Varun, Abhinav, Joe and others) Cafe Thulp was a Life Saver and our Messiah during our first year in Bangalore. It became our Temple, Our Religion, Our Cult and our Staple Diet. We spread the "Thulping" Craze wherever we went and soon, we had numerous members joining our Iconic Thulp Cult. Apart from their Mouth Watering Burgers, They have some dishes which simply make your Heart stop Beating. Ironically, their super starters include Cheesy Chilly garlic french fries, aptly titled, "The Heart Transplant" along with a Fantasic Crispy Fried Beef called Bangkok Dangerous, which absolutely does not dissapoint unlike the Nicholas Cage starrer with the same name! Their Vietnamese pork burger "Ho chin Minh" does justice to your taste buds and their Pastas, Hotdogs and Salads are Impressive as well. The Ambiance is Unique( with funky Japanese Cartoons on the Walls), Their Menu -Incredible, Their Food - Fabulously Addictive and its a Great place to Relax and enjoy a Fabulous meal with Family or Friends. A Place you would definitely crave to Go back to again and again and If you are New in Bangalore.....Cafe Thulp is the Place to be!......Eat it, Speak it, Live it, Breathe it, Dream it and Most Importantly Enjoy it!! because its Just Awesome!!! As close to a Foo-Gasm as you will ever Get.....Its a Moo-Gasm and it Doesnt get Any Better than This!!...Two Thumbs Up!!!..................!!!!Be there.....and Be Square ...because......Its......"MAN.....vs....FOOD"!!!.....Cheers :D:D:D

Nothing Fishy about this Dish :)

Ive been to London (as part of my European Tour) once, when i was around Ten in my 5th Grade. That was quite a Long Time ago. Yet the Mouth Watering savory flavor of Their Trademark Delicacy " Fish and Chips" still lingers in my palate and i can remember it as if it was just Yesterday. I have since tried out various Fish and Chips recipes in a lot of restaurants, most of which have failed to Impress. That was until i was introduced to "The Only Place" - Museum Road Bangalore. Their London special fish and chips is the closest that comes to an authentic replication of the  True Taste of London with their own little twist. The soft and crispy fish fillet is batter fried to perfection and their special sauce is a Royal treat for your taste buds. For both, Critics and Fans of Fish, You must Trust me on this Dish ;) All said and done, A Spectacular Imitation of London Fish and Chips, mastered almost to Perfection.....Only at....."The Only Place" :)

Holy Guacamole.............Welcome to Istanboly!

Is it a Bird????Is it a Plane???Is it faster than a speeding Bullet??? For those of you wondering What the Hell this Monstrous Tower of Madness is......Let me explain.....For some of us who grew up in The Middle East....It is A Magical Creation and a Divine Inspiration! In other words, It made our Lives worth Living. The Americans have Fried Chicken and Macaroni and Cheese, The Mexicans have Nachos, The Indians have Chicken Tikka Masala and The British have Fish and Chips. But what about us NRGIs( Non Resident Gulf Indians).....What do we have??......We have........."The Shawarma"...............I am confident that all those of you who have experienced the Joy of eating this delicacy had a wide toothy grin and a growling stomach the second you saw this. But Again, not all of us are that lucky and for any one who is still clueless.......A shawarma is a Lebanese or Turkish Sandwitch which consists of Mutton, Chicken or Lamb meat wrapped in Khubs or Arabic Bread served with Humus and pickled salad. In Simple Terms, It is Ecstasy on a Plate!!! In the title of this post, I Pay Homage and Tribute to What is Undoubtedly one of the Greatest Turkish Restaurants in Muscat, The Capital City of The Sultanate of Oman...............Istanboly.............You kept us going for all those years....Keep up the Good Work..............( Their Trademark Dishes - Shawarma or Sheesh Tawook with their Unbelievably Amazing Secret Garlic Paste)...........Truly a Legendary Experience!!! :)....Go Grab your Shawarma Now!!......and I assure you.....after that......nothing will ever wipe that smile of your face :):):):):)........Signing off.........Cheerss and Have a fantabuloustic Day :D:D:D
